Xinhua: Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will join other heads of the neighboring states in an upcoming summit held in Indonesia to discuss coral reefs protection, the government announced Sunday.Press Secretary Cerge Remonde told media that leaders will discuss measures to prevent climate change and human exploitation of the diverse marine ecosystem within the Coral Triangle countries -- the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste.
… The Coral Triangle Initiative summit will be held in Indonesian city of Manado at the sideline of the World Ocean Conference (WOC) which is held from May 11 - 15. Remonde said Arroyo will arrive at the northern Indonesian city on Thursday and is expected to leave the following day.
