US Enivronmental Protection Agency says $203 bln needed for wastewater infrastructure
A dismaying Reuters story points out the price-tag on U.S. neglect of its infrastructure -- and you just know that this underestimates the true levels. It's also based on the latest 2004 data, so we can assume four more years of damage from short-sighted underinvestment. On top of these numbers.
Waste treatment and stormwater management are going to become major issues in the coming years, once the bill comes due. Actually, it's past due already.
