Thailand urges regional disaster preparation

DDPM general director, Viboon Sanguanpong, said Thailand has the chair of the ACDM, this year, so the department will propose a stronger regional approach to disaster management.
“DDPM will encourage ways to provide assistance to member nations that suffer large-scale disasters in the future, he said.”
Mr Viboon added: “We will need to cooperate with the UN and the East Asia Summit, to offer timely help to ASEAN member countries when disaster hits.”...
