It's like Woodstock around here

Only without the crowds or the music or the heat. But we have the precipitation in abundance. It is chilly and raining

This photo by Derek Redmond and Paul Campbell gives a pretty accurate portrayal of the weather today in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Very wet and dismal.  I found the photo where I usually do, on Wikimedia Commons, where it is available  licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.

No Jimi Hendrix or Ten Years After, no Richie Havens or Santana, no Country Joe and the Fish or Grateful Dead.  No bad acid or hospital tent, or kids at the pay phones calling their parents to say that everything is fine, really, don't worry. Just waterlogged greenery and a stream hissing with mounting volume as the banks become wetter and wetter.  Everybody has their clothes on and their fur on.  The dog doesn't like anything wet, but the younger cat does, and he is staring out the window, the picture of fascination.
