The storm destroyed 11 homes and damaged seven others. Some roads were impassable due to landslides and power was knocked out in some areas. The National Disaster Coordinating Council reported that more than 18,000 people were affected by the flooding and landslides in the provinces of Surigao Del Norte, Lanao Del Norte and Cebu.

Tropical storm in Philippines kills 9
Disaster News Network: Flooding and landslides caused by Tropical Storm Lando in the central and southern Philippines have left nine people dead and forced more than 12,600 people to evacuate to shelters, government officials reported Tuesday. Five people were injured.
