Gold Coast to become Australia's first climate change hub

ABC News (Australia): The federal Environment Minister has announced Australia's first climate change adaptation facility will be based on the Gold Coast. Malcolm Turnbull says $50 million will be committed to climate change research at Griffith University.

Mr Turnbull says a number of universities will be involved in the centre's work. "To pull together the science on climate change and how we adapt to climate change so that decision makers - governments - can be better advised as to how we make those adaptation decisions," he said.
