Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) death toll now at 5,680

The official death toll from Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the
Philippines was updated to 5,680, according to the National Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Tuesday.
The NDRRMC also says the number missing from the tragic super-typhoon amount to about 1,800. The Eastern Visayas was by far the worst hit by the storm resulting in 5,338 fatalities to date, or 94 percent of the deaths.
The Central Visayas and Western Visayas follow by quite a distance recording 74 and 238 deaths, respectively....
